Dear Anglers,
Our first meeting of the new year took place on Sunday Jan. 15th at 2pm in the New Hartford Gander Mtn. Lodge Room. Officer Elections were held at this time and are as follows: President - Ralph Smith, Vice President - Sam Spina, Secretary - Dale Janes, Treasurer - Jackie Smith, Tournament Director - Dave Visser, Assistant Tournament Director - Pete Summa, Tech Support - Chad Valentine.
The Annual Awards Banquet will be held at 2pm on Sat. Jan. 28th at the Marine Corps League in Ilion, NY (Same place as last year). Bringing Plates so far: Dave - Pulled Pork w/ Cole Slaw, Sam - Antipasto, Pete - Sausage/Pepperoni Bread, Russ - Wings, Buddy - Veggie Tray, Kelly - Chicken Riggies, Jim - Baked Crap, Guy - Cheese/Pepperoni and Crackers, Mark - Chips and Dip. If anyone wants to bring something not listed feel free.
Our second meeting of the year will be held at the New Hartford Gander Mtn. Lodge Room on Sunday Feb. 19th at 2pm. All members are encouraged to attend. We will be discussing plans for the Payout Adjustment, Fund Raising, Lake Selection, and other club business as time allows.
Classic Results and Pictures are posted! It was a tough tournament with equally rough weather. The wind, rain, and cold temperatures played havok with the thirteen boat field of competition over the course of the two day tournament. We seen it claim its first victim on day one, sending a team home early, and three more teams left before weigh-in on day two. For those who stuck it out, it was a close one. Only 3 lbs. separated the top 5 spots and a mere 1/2 lbs. separated the top 3. Finishing in First Place with 28.48 lbs. - Chad Valentine & Jim Clayton, Finishing in Second Place with 28.37 lbs. - Guy Eberly & Paul Bellair, and Finishing in Third Place with 27.97 lbs. - Buddy Valentine & Kelly Hamilton. Day 1 Lunker goes to Kent Furry with a 4.85 lbs. LM bass. Day 2 Lunker goes to Guy Eberly with a 5.16 lbs LM bass. Honors for the largest SM bass of the tournament goes to Jim Clayton with his 4.28 lbs. SM bass.

Just a reminder that to pre-register for tournaments, checks should be mailed to "Mohawk Valley Bass Association" P.O. Box # 95, Ilion, NY 13357. They should be received not later than one week prior to the tournament date.
